Hello Sjoggies,

Has anyone ever had a " flair" where their feet and hands hurt? On my right hand I have knots on my thumb and middle finger. My big toes hurt and the heel on my right foot which I cannot think of anything other than adding collagen for my joints and New Chapter Estorotone for menopause.

Any thoughts?

I definitely get flare periods where I swear I can feel every connection between the bones in my feet.  Feels like walking on broken glass and fire.  Horrible!  I also get joint pain in my fingers, which can coincide with the feet, or not.

I don't know if you are taking any anti inflammatories, like ibuprofen or similar. If not, worth exploring to see if you can tamp down the inflammation. I take a prescription version, mobic. Be sure to mention this the next time you see your rheumy or PCP.

Yes. I have done better with my foot/hand/finger pain since I went on the daily 2.5 mg. of Prednisone & pain patch. That combo seems to keep me functional.
