Ubiquinol and muscle ache

I'm disappointed and confused about this. After reading so many positive experiences on this forum, why does Ubiquinol give me severe back ache (especially shoulders & neck)? And I didn't even go beyond 50mg. When I quit, the pain disappeared.

It's so disenheartening: it's like every single supplement which yields amazing effects for others, is giving me some weird, never mentioned adverse effect. Clues anyone???

Never heard of such a side effect from the ubiquinol itself, but perhaps your sensitivity
is to one of the inactive ingredients in the supplement.
This would make sense since you state that you have strange adverse effects from many supplements.
They all have binders and fillers of sorts. You may want to compare the inactive ingredients in some of the supplements you've reacted badly too to try to figure out what the culprit may be.
Sjogren's (+ RA): positive ANA, RNP, RNP-A, APCA. Severe eye dryness + inflammation, multiple sensitivities and allergic reactions, fatigue.
ORENCIA, Restasis, Anti-inflammatory diet, Vit. D & C, Ubiquinol 100mg, Omega 3....

Hi Sharon,

Thanks for your thoughts. It's a possibility, I'd have to do some painstaking research to find out. Either the fillers and/or interactions with my other meds.

Only link which 'hinted' towards ubiquinol and muscle ache was its similarity in efficacy to statins where users sometimes mention this adverse effect... But I don't have high cholesterol, so no need for that, lol ... 😉
