Pain and fatigue have been a way of life for me for over 10 years now. Sometimes it seems like I'll get a routine of sleep and meds that help me. I like Vitamin D, multivitamins, synthroid, plaquenil, klonipin for my sleep disorder, an antidepressant and lots of rest. Sometimes I over do, or something causes a flare and I just have to take it easy. I really hate being so very tired, lacking  vitality and being in pain but sometimes I do get some relief.

I think  most of us have to deal and somehow cope with the fatigue that comes with this.

What amazes me is that when I feel good for a while, I almost believe it's going to last and I've found "my cure" that works for pain and fatigue but it always manages to come back...........

I hope you've gotten some answers here that might help you.

Had the same problem this weekend, Lucy D.  I had to host a soap making class and then go right to a dinner at my husband's friends house.  Started to fall asleep at their house and had to force myself to stay awake until it was time to leave.  Since I had to do a lot of running around and cleaning on Saturday at the soap making class, I was really stiff and tired on Sunday.  Been going to bed at 1am during the week and work full time all week.  What I hate about the fatigue is that your legs get tired quickly, your arms feel like wet noodles and your knees and ankles hurt when you get up and down or stand too long.  I get tired enough to fall asleep standing up!  LOL

It is comforting to know others understand this fatigue because those who don't experience it just don't/can't "get it" not matter how hard they try. They have no frame of reference. When we say we are exhausted, they think we feel how they feel when they are a little tired - which is how we feel when we feel "good." I have given up on trying to make them understand. I know the expression, "Misery loves company." I don't love that we share this, but it is just helpful to know there are those of us who understand. I joined a friend for dinner after work tonight because I so want to hold onto friendships. But I was yawning by 6:30. Heading for bed.
Thank you Judie P for sharing.

A steroid taper helps me with fatigue.
