Hello All,  I have what seems to me a strange question.  Does anyone suffer with chronic hives? I seem to have a ring of hives around my neck that began just on one side and now goes all the way around. At least that what I think they are. But being a holiday weekend,... So I thought I'd check with all the knowledgeable friends here. I've had Sjs for about 2 years, RA 3years, and ET's 41/2 years. Meds for each keeps everything in check, thankfully. Except for this itchy neck. Any suggestions??  Thanks for listening. Sharon

Cupcake,

I won't be too much help.  (Sorry).  I don't have hives, but I know that Benadryl might help if it is allergic in origin, but it will cause drying.  You could try Cortizone cream or Benadryl cream.

Are you allergic to anything?  It could even be possibly caused by something as simple as your laundry detergent.

If you start to have trouble breathing or wheezing or tongue swelling with it, I would have someone drive you to ER right away.

Have you started any new meds?  Or is this something that is all Sjogren's related?  Sorry, I don't know.  Wish I could help more.

Feel better soon!

I broke out in hives last year. I found out I have histamine intolerance and salicylate sensitivity. So you might want to Google each of those.

Have you seen a dermatologist to get other skin conditions ruled out. So often what we think are hive or eczema have us fooled and we need a doc to sort things out. Sometimes they need to do a skin biopsy. Could also be a rash related to one of your AI diseases. Good luck. Irish
