I am finally back after a hospital stay. I went in on March 13th and got out finally on April 2nd.

Basically, I got Influenza B on my birthday Feb 24th, found fluid again in left lung, local hospital drained it following week, nicked me, I had to go to other "better" hospital to get it drained of fluid and blood, then had to have surgery to clean it all out & check lung and maybe get some answers as to the cause of my PAH.  I came through the surgery well (never had surgery before) but I have more stitches on me than Raggedy Ann & Andy which come out on the 14th. No PAH answers though.  Home now but have to work on getting stronger and my appetite up, etc. Got visiting nurse and therapist coming for a couple weeks thankfully.

They call my Sjogrens a "contributing factor" but really do not understand Sjogrens yet though at least they HEARD of it and have an inkling of what it does which is miles ahead where they last were on it.

Just wanted to let you all know in case you were missing me.  ;)   I'm one tough little gal.

Well, dang Pisces!  you are indeed one tough little gal!   "Nicked"?   sigh.

Better hospital?  more sighs.

You are much more 'gentle' than I would be at this point, but I imagine you are just glad to be alive!  And Sjogren's is a 'contributing factor' to everything I do believe.  Certainly when it comes to lungs.  Anyway, an infection is an infection, and getting 'nicked' can't be helping much.

I'm still stuck on how nice you are about this entire ordeal.   Again, I assume the joy in walking out alive!

I will never be strong, of course, but dang if my appetite isn't always up!.

Please Pisces24, just stay well, and keep us posted, ok?

Pisces, You have always been one strong gal. I bet you were more than ready to use your bed and recliner again. I am glad that you made it through this very eventful illness. Stay warm and take care of yourself cause summer is coming. You should be in fairly good shape by the Memorial Day. Good luck. Irish

I've got good reports from my visiting nurse so far. She tells me to slow down some though. I didn't think I was pushing t but will.  My main concern is working on my diet and getting a good balance, etc.   I eat like a bird so it isn't easy.  ;)  I fill up quick too so am trying to eat numerous "small" meals instead of big ones.

Good thing is my Tyvaso is helping my PAH as my pressures got lower. Some stuff you just can't tell.  Soooo I came through all the "c^&*" well. I GOT to get a t-shirt that says "One Touigh Gal" as that is what everyone is telling me

Yep, I am sooooo ready for sunshine and summer. We are getting some rain though here now.
