The February, 2015 PREVENTION mag. (prevention.com) had an article about treating MRSA without antibiotics. This method has been used abroad for years.  IRISH...please check out this article and see if if it is something that may work for you.. I found it extremely interesting.

Good luck ( and open-minded Drs) to you..

I have not read this article but will when I can get access to the magazine. I have read other articles about this and they have a lot of good info---some that is not new, by any means. The one thing that concerns me is that my infection is in the nasal pharynx and is moving into my throat and neck.

I have been quite ill this time and actually did not realize that I had infection at first. I thought that some of my symptoms were increase in autoimmune issues. I was really losing ground the past 3 months and was beginning to wonder if I was going to need to consider assisted living. In the 5 days I have been on Doxycycline I have had decrease in symptoms and some increase in energy and decrease in weakness. Soooo, will see what happens. Thanks for the info. Irish

I am so glad the meds are working for you.  It is so hard to tell if we are sick when there is such an array of possible causes of malaise.

The idea of getting rid of all the MRSA is what appealed to me in the PREVENTION article.

I have low t-cells so I will never get rid of the MRSA.  I think it gets knocked down pretty well but there is always just a little tiny bit left and it just hides out til something kick starts it again. I would think that if I was on antibiotic forever it wouldn't get rid of it cause in the back ground my t-cells are allowing a little tiny bit of the MRSA to keep replicating while on the other end of the equation the med is trying to kill it off. A battle to the end!!! Irish
