Very interesting article. The trend of apps for everything does not surprise me. For someone like me who is a bit technology challenged and always operating in a brain fog ,this would be a nightmare!

Then again, I have lost alot of confidence in doctors and this may be what we need to take control.
I sure hope they start out with an app to diagnose and treat auto immune disease!

There was an X prize to make your android cellphone into a Star Trek medical tricorder I do not remember which group won it. It checks respiration,  circulation, bp, o2, and a number of other readings. Greater than 80% Dx accuracy.
