Red veins in my eyes

I thought the red veins in my eyes were from contact use, but now that I've had perfect vision (Lasik) for the past 4 years, the veins are still getting worse and more red. Does anyone have this issue, and could it be from Sjogren's as well? Oddly enough, my Schirmer's came back normal, but I do feel like I have good stimulated tears and saliva, just not enough unstimulated.

Do you mean bloodshot?  If so, that was my first indication that something wasn't right. I always had perfectly white eyes.  Of course, the first doc I showed my eyes to told me that "clinically," there was nothing wrong with them. Well, about a year later, they continued to worsen and were noticeably somewhat dry. Went to an ophthalmologist and was diagnosed with dry eye and told to use OTC drops (no tests/no Restasis).  Sjogren's diagnosis followed two years later, and by then, my eyes were so dry, it felt like I was ripping my cornea when I opened them after sleeping.  My Rheumy sent me to another ophthalmologist who specialized in Sjogren's, and this time, I was tested and my Schirmer and lissamine green tests were abnormal.  Using Restatis now, which had helped.

Guess what I'm trying to say is that you could just be in the beginning stages of dry eyes.  Keep an eye on them, literally.  ;D
