anyone have experience with evoxac??

I had previously tried pilocarpine but I could t tolerate it. It made me feel dizzy all the time and my heart would race. My dr just started me on evoxac 30mg 3 times a day so far ok but has anyone her not been able to tolerate pilocarpine and done ok on evoxac?

 I tried pilocarpine for awhile and switched to Evoxac after experiencing bladder spasms with pilocarpine.  For me, the Exoxac works better.  When  I first started Evoxac I experienced severe sweating.  But, I perseverd because I so desperately needed it.  Hopefully, you will get good results too.

I have pilocarpine and evoxac. Today I have decided that I should no longer take pilocarpine and just stick with the evoxac which works also. I was getting a racing heart in the 120's, having to pee all the time and it makes me feel very anxious. I had a miserable morning due to pilocarpine. Once those effects wore off I took my evoxac and it does raise my heart rate a little but doesn't give me all the nasty pilocarpine side effects.

Evoxac takes longer to start working once you take the pill compared to pilocarpine and if you take it with food it will decrease it's absorption(effectiveness). So keep that in mind

I cant live without evoxac, I tried to cut down on it and had terrible drying. Some days it dont feel like its doing anything, but stop it and I see it is actually working well. And my dryness seems to be roving, like sometimes my lips are so dry but my mouth is spilling over moisture, other times my mouth and eyes are killing me but my nose wont stop running. Right now its my nose and sinuses that are dried up...and my skin, that never goes away.

Well ive been on it for 4 days now and at times I can tell its helping slightly but im still very dry. Today has been a really dry day for me especially my eyes and throat. My eyes r spotted red and burning itchy they r so dry.
This afternoon I could tell I had slightly more saliva then usual but this evening my mouth is extremly dry again. I may just be starting.a flare up but I just really wish this medicine would start working more. On the plus side no major side effects yet!

I have to take it 3 times a day, and if I miss (usually at lunch time if I forget to throw the pill bottle into my computer bag) I can really tell that I missed it.  So make sure you are taking it as often as it is prescribed.

Yes ive been taking it 3 times a day like clock work! At times I can feel a difference. Other times not so much. Hopefully soon!

Hi  I have been taking this medicine since the end of February.  It took two months to get to a good comfort level not requiring constant spray, water or gum.  Now I only really need water when I eat. It takes time for some and I was feeling just like you.  It will get better for you too hopefully, I take it everyday 3 times a day no skippng.

I've taken both Pilocarpine and Exovac. I really wasn't noticing much benefit after 3 months of Pilocarpine, so I switched to Exovac and have now been on that for 3 months. Exovac definitely works better. It did causes some additional sweating at the beginning and a drippy nose but those things have tapered down. Am definitely much happier with the Exovac.
