I have trouble falling asleep at times, restless and can't get comfortable.

Our pillow top mattress is over 15 years old.

Been wanting a memory foam mattress but heard positive and negatives on it.

I compromised and bought us a memory foam topper, 4 inches thick.

Oh my goodness, it is so wonderful.......it feels firm but is so cushy and cradles you.

I don't want to get out of it......my husband likes it and our little dog gave his stamp of approval.

The brand I bought had absolutely no smell and we are not overheated as I heard they can be for some

We got our daughter and her husband one and my SIL says it helps his back and legs.

This little story of mine may be helpful to those who are uncomfortable at night

and can't get any sleep.

I have one. I even bought one for my sons bed. I sleep so much better and I am so comfortable and do not want to get up. It is not too hot. The only problem that I have is that I have difficulty turning over in bed. I feel stuck in place. But, it is not a bad problem because The overall quality of my sleep is better. My teenage son said he also sleeps better. Even my cat is happy.

It's a great quick fix when you need to give new life to your mattress.

Hey, as long as the pets like it, that is all we need!

We had a 4" topper for years and it was better than a regular bed, that's for sure. Then we had to replace the mattress, took the plunge, and bought a memory foam mattress -- EVEN BETTER. In fact, LIFE-CHANGING!!!! When you go to get a new mattress, GO MEMORY FOAM!!!! I'd recommend them highly - and I have read many places that the Costco version is just as good as the "brand name" ones, for half the price. We even got my daughter one.

The other big "sleep technology" revelation we have had is the polarfleece sheets at Costco. They're pretty cheap, too (as sheets go). Holy cow - SOOOOOOOOO cozy and SUPER-soft. Between the foam mattress and the fleece sheets, I'd say my sleep has improved at least 80%. It's amazing, when you have inflammation/achy body issues, how much a really comfy bed matters!!!!!

(I hope it's okay I mentioned a store here - I am not trying to promote them and I'm sure the same or similar products are available elsewhere - that just happens to be where we got ours...)

That is wonderful to hear.  I will go out and get one tomorrow from Costco.  I am so uncomfortable and don't sleep well.  I also overheat.  Looks like the consensus is memory foam.

Angeldancer-
I can't wait to hear from you after you sleep on the memory foam.
We got an inexpensive one from Walmart that was four inches thick. It came with a cover too. It has been every bit as comfortable as my sons expensive memory foam mattress set.
My joints don't protest getting up in the morning anymore!
