Shake-ups on DWTS show

I was just reading online about the shake-ups going on with Dancing With The Stars show this season.

1)  Harold Wheeler and his 28 members of his live backing band were fired earlier this month.

2)  Yesterday, Brooke Burke-Charvet was fired.

I hope they keep Tom Bergeron!

It seems they want to reach a younger crowd.  I don't know . . . when they do a big shake-up like that on other shows in the past, the ratings dip a lot and never recover.

I use to watch DWTS every week - but, in the last few years it's been more hit-or-miss on watching it.

I don't see how they can possibly keep outdoing the dances they have done from previous seasons, but they somehow do.  Along with that comes many injuries from cramming so many routines and difficult dances into such short time frames for them to learn the dance and perform them.

To me, the show should be about taking someone with NO dancing background and teach them to be a dancer.  Quite often, they end up with celebrities that have a dance background, or gymnastics, etc. that have an "advantage", if you will, over others.

It ends up being a popularity contest versus dance ability.  In seasons past they would send home someone who was really improving and actually dancing, over a celebrity who "entertained" the crowd with their wacky antics and was kept.   ???

Anybody a DWTS show watcher?

The new season starts on March 17th.  They will announce the cast on March 4th during the Good Morning America show.

I did read today that the new co-host is Erin Andrews.

I don't know why they are changing the show.  Most young people don't watch it anyway.  What they need to do is get rid of the old ones that have to act crazy to get votes.  They just need to get the right people on.

I heard Meryl Davis and Charlie White, the Olympic Ice Dancing Gold winners said they would like to be on the show.
They even had Derek Hough choreograph part of their routine.  They would be great.

Any other suggestions as to who should be on the show?
