Imuran

My rheumy wants to speak with me about starting Imuran the next time I see him. Has anyone been on it before? What symptoms did it help with and did you experience any side effects with it?

My daughter has been on imuran for two years almost. She has behcet's disease. She had one run in with it causing low white and red count. Her rheumy checks her cbc levels about every three month to make sure she has no adverse effects. It can cause other side effects like any other meds, neausea, fever, ect. Ask your doc plenty of questions about how the meds will affect you, what side effects to look for and what kind of longterm effects it could cause.
