I am wondering what the neuro pain feels like.  I sometimes have electrical like pain in my feet and back.  It is very different than the joint/muscle pain.  It doesn't happen all the time and I don't know a better way to describe it.  Anyone else experience this?

Thank you for the reply.  I am going to talk to my doctor about it when I see her in two weeks.  I was leery about saying anything about it since I have had so much trouble with doctors understanding and being knowledgeable about my symptoms.  I am so tired of being treated like nothing is wrong when I have symptoms!  Thanks and will update!  :)

I've had that pain too. It's a weird feeling unlike other pain. I had it in my back and feet at night. I've started taking Neurontin and that has helped a lot.

I get nerve pain that feels like someone has a dull knife attached to a power drill, turned the power on and drilling through my arms and legs.

I have a nerve tingling in my heels at various times of the day.  It doesn't really hurt; it feels more like static looks on an old TV.  It can be quite distracting.   The rheumy said it was peripheral neuropathy.  I'm sure it's nerve-related as it can come and go instantly.

I sometimes feel like I have electrical shocks going on in various parts of my body. Like sticking your finger in a socket, but the shock is in my foot or arm or somewhere else (thankfully not my head).

Have had nerve pain in the past, no fun. As suggested track your symptoms, describe them and when they come on as best you can.

While this some times happens randomly to me, it is most frequent when I am near lightning. Each bolt will send a jolt through me from head to foot. I was electrocuted twice by 50,000 volts from a power supply I was working on for a transmitter. I did not know how it happened the first time but learned from the second. That is how it feels when I am near a lightning strike.
