Good luck with your upcoming apt on April 1. I hope they can help you and make your life easier. I will be praying for you. Take care and have safe travels. CK

So glad that you are getting the pulmonary rehab in. This really does help. My hubby has done it twice and it has helped him build up his legs which is just huge when you have breathing issues. If you are weak in the rest of the body when you have breathing problems it just makes it so much worse.

HOpe that all goes well on the cruise and you have a lovely time. Enjoy it for all of us who can't go. Irish

Irish, we cancelled the cruise the week before we were to leave.  I just didn't think I possibly do it, physically.
My PT isn't actually "pulmonary" but just plain PT, but still very important.  I will get to the respiratory PT in a little bit.

I am trying to keep my leg muscles moving because they are numb and have a habit of wanting to be stiff.  The PT does make this better, but not for long.  I am going to have to use what I have or will lose it.  I will write here what I find out on my trip to U of M.  I wouldn't be surprised if I got put on oxygen, at least part of the time.

Lucy, I am thinking of you and hope you have a good visit at U of M:) Oh how I hope your doctor listens to you and takes this seriously! Please keep us updated.

Well, the day is here.  I have four things tomorrow at U of M.  I will have a contrast chest CT .  Then I will have a full PFT (?) hope I got that right.   Do the 6 minute walk and then go up and down flights of stairs.  Ha, I can't do 1 flight let alone a bunch.  Not sure if I can walk 6 minutes. They will be monitoring my Oxygen .

Last, I will see the dr and I suspect she will have my results on hand to give me some information.  I do believe Iwill have to go back there for further testing, possibly rheumy dept, or who knows.  I am scared of what I will find out tomorrow.  I have had a few weeks to digest it, but not really because the diagnosis isn't firm.

We will pack a little cooler with pop & bottled water and some snacks for the time we are on the road. The hospital has a nice cafeteria, but I can't eat or drink for 4 hours before my test starts.  I will post my experience in the next couple of days.  Tp make it interesting, I see my rheumy on Wednesday.  Lucy
