I am so HAPPY....

I went on a Date late this afternoon ....and it was special.

For a bit more than 4 weeks I have had trouble walking, groin pain, etc...
Waddle here...waddle there, take a nap....well, you know...it just gets sooo old.

Appt with Neuro, he suggested a new med, Lyrica.
I suggested slightly upping dose of one I am already on...And using my wonderful Lidocain Gel 5%.
Took an Espson Salt bath last night as well. Upped water intake. And tried to not dwell on any of 'this', beyond a cluster of nano seconds.

My son, asked me if I wanted to go to the rivertown, New Hope, Pa (just north of us).
First I thought: No Way
Then I thought: But, the sun is shining...shake that booty!!!
So he went to pick up a med for me at the pharma. I got dressed. Looked good with some sprucing up.
Feels good when your 24 year old says you look good Mom. "Thanks Honey...but, do I look "Hot"? I got the "Mom" moan... sounded good.

So we drove along the Delaware and went for an early lite dinner at a nice place with bare brick walls and the metal kettles they brew beer in?  triumphbrewing.com/.  From the large windowed wall we looked out on the New Hope-Ivyland Train http://members.trainorders.com/octrainguy/HPIM0911.JPG

Many, many years ago New Hope used to be an artisan haven...silversmiths, potters, painters, weavers...now it is pubs and generic but, I had sooo much fun walking with my son.

Tried to cut up a small incline back to car. My son said, Can you make it Mom? Oh, when you were little I used to feed and dress you and walk College Hill for 2-3 hours. And then I would do it again at dusk when house lights would go on and I could see the stained glass windows in the older homes. (Fun seeing your young adults eyes mellow ). Don't worry if I get stuck I can always wait and you can come get me.

We turned a corner and there was a small art gallery...I was looking at a painting and one of the owners came out to say hello. It is that type of place. "I am admiring this painting and I believe I have met you before. Do you have a small dog?" (It seems it is our short term memory that gets wonky). So we had a brief chit-chat and I got an invitation to a gallery show...I have some paintings to show him that I won at an auction years ago.

....and so I wanted to share my venture with you.

Slccom, yes, it is very pretty.
I did not have my camera or I would have uploaded pictures.

I do not know how long ago you lived there. But now Lambertville,NJ (on the other side of the Delaware River) has the more interesting shops. Often there are musician playing on the sidwalks outside the bistros.

We left in 2001. Came home to Colorado! We never did go to Lambertville. Love the sunset picture!

" Came home to Colorado! "

LOL...Lovely daughter is in Aurora as I type until the end of the month.

If fact I pushed myself (because I promised) and took her to the Oxford Valley Mall to get boots for her trip. Barely, made it back to the car because of my hips, etc.

We hope to take a drive to Western Tenn. Take a look around at some lake areas as possible places to move?
I have always wanted to drive up the coast to Nantucket, ferry to Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island.  That is a trip I want to do before we move.

But, I have to admit there is so much within an hour of here...and every year we go to Bethlehem, PA for Musikfest (10 day festival, all genre...even zydeco...say what?) and then later Celticfest (3 Days...love the pub bands at night ...OYE' )  both free under open tents.

WOW...Thank you Peony,

Sharing some joy.  After not feeling well for so long my son gave me such a nice "gift".
He did not know he helped me push at the right time with a simple offer.  " I am just going to sit and have a beer and a burger Mom"...Hmmm, I thought, don't be selfish ... you can do that...and Peony the rest evolved.
And "I" have that time now in my heart... :)

Peony is right. Your words take me away everytime I read them.

HELLO! My friend! A wild hair told me to poke my head in and there you were!

I bet you were lovely. It sounds like a marvelous night...and a well raised boy.

We need to catch up, dear.

Chat with you soon.
