Someone here wrote about using vaseline for something that I thought to be weird - but I don't remember what it was. However, from that I got an idea to use it on my toes which were very dry and coarse so that they kept getting stuck to my socks. And voilá - after applying it just twice the coarseness disappeared! No other lotion or ointment has succeeded in this!

I use a dab of Vaseline with my body lotion. It seems to sealmthe moisture in better than just lotion and when I mix a dab in, it's not to greasy either.

Vaseline is often ignored or under-rated for dry lips.  It's not my first go-to, but if you're ever without your favorite, you can always buy a jar of Vaseline somewhere.   Lucy

I am going to try it for my lips next time they are dry and peeling!

I use it on my face after I wash it.  While it is still damp, I apply a small amount.  Having the face damp allows for it to spread thinly.  It has really helped with the onset of winter weather more than any lotion ever did.  Oh, and that includes my lips.  If I have a really troublesome dry patch anywhere, I go for it.

I heard it was good for around the eyes at night.   My husband and I both have tried it.  Works great for bags, lines.

I like vaseline but not the smell.  However, in the baby section of Target they have some in a tube that is very nice smelling.  I use it all them time especially after washing dishes or any wet cleaning.

Hehe - so the undervalued grease is actually miracle stuff! I've used it for years for my lips but nothing else - but now I know better. I'm still soooooo happy about my smooth toe tips  ;D

Thanks everyone!

I have not used Vaseline for my dry skin but my Dermatologist told me to use Aquaphor.  It is like vaseline.

I use vaseline on my lips, hands, feet.. On hands and feet when they are dry and cracking. I put it on at night and wear gloves on hands and socks on feet with the vaseline. Works wonderfully. As for my lips, I just dab it on periodically during the day as needed.

I can also endorse the use of Vaseline!  I use it on my lips every night before I climb into bed and now I don't need chapstick type things very often (not that they really work for long anyway).  It truly has worked miracles for my poor cracked/dry lips!  I also use Cera Ve cream (in the winter), lotion in the summer and it also works like a dream!  Derm told me about it and I can get it at any drugstore, walmart, etc. over the counter and no more body dandruff!  Diane
