Hi Bratt:  I am sorry you are feeling so bad.  There isn't anything I can do to make you feel better except listen and have empathy.  Not sure where you live, but it's a bad time of year for feeling ill.  So many people have the flu and other winter ills, they are telling about it on the news.

I'm not sure what your stent was for or about but your dr should definitely be contacted about it.  As for temperatures, those of us with Sjogrens just cannot win on this one.  My temp normally is 96.something or 97.0.  When I have 98.6 it means I have a temperature.  Try telling the dr that.  They don't believe it.  If your hands are cold in the house, by all means wear gloves.  When my hands are cold-or hurt, I have arthritis gloves I wear at home.  They are stretchy material and seem to help.  Do you have an electric blanket?  I have an electric throw i keep on our couch all year around.  If I come in from being gone, I usually get wrapped up in that and turn it on for a nap.  If you are a tea drinker even sometimes, I think a cup of herbal tea can warm you a bit and be a treat.  I found some licorice tea (herbal) that I had in my cupboard and forgot about.  I have been enjoying a cup in the evenings.  I hope you feel better soon.  Lucy

Dear Bratt -- here are a hundred hugs to you!  Like you and Eyeamdry, my body temp is wacko.  Can't seem to get enough clothes on right now to take the chills away, the kind that just sort of shudder through the body.  Have them in summer, too, though.  Someone told me there is a product...maybe by Sunbeam, for hands, not sure if it fits in pockets or what, but will look it up and post it here as I may get one.  I'm with Eyeamdry, use an electric blanket on my bed and one on my sofa.  I also bought several pair of GOOD wool blend socks, the kind that aren't itchy, they save me.  Layers seem to be the best bet for The Chills.  And a hot bath seems to keep me warm for the longest periods of time...I use Epsom Salts to soak and ease joint pain.

Thank you both so much for all the hugs and to let me know what u do I will go out and get me one of those electric blankets and I dont drink tea but if it helps I will try it. My stent was for my kidney I had a kidney stone blasted it was 2 centermiters and then he put a stent in to help me passing the fragments but it fell out the other day and I called the doc he told me to increase my fluids and to come in and take a urine test and to have a xray done on the 24 th to see what is going on.

Thanks for listening  :)

G'day Bratt, I have problem with being cold all the time also.  My doctor said I have Raynaud's phenomenon.   My body temp usually runs about 97 deg.  I wear gloves, take warm baths, wear long johns, and wool socks.  It gets real annoying using the computer and having to wear gloves.  Hot drinks help me warm up also.  I am also getting good at making homemade soups.  Tonight I made a pot of 5 bean soup and cornbread.  If that does not warm a person up nothing will.  Stay warm.

Try some ginger tea when you are chilled. Actually any herbal will help, and I also love hot chocolate. I find chai tea with all its spices very warming and comforting.

I hope things get better for you.

Yes, I agree, I don't think it's the "kind" of tea you drink to try and warm you, but a nice herbal tea you like.  I am trying to cut down on my Diet Cokes and it's a far cry to hot tea.  I do like hot tea especially when I don't feel good or need warming up.  I don't do coffee, so the hot tea is my only warm drink.  Hot chocolate= too many calories.

Dear Bratt, hugs to you!  I also have a problem with body temp...during the past few months, I have been so darn cold (and I live in southern California)!  I have to wear layers, at least 3, every day, inside or outside, 2 pairs of socks, gloves.  Fireplace on at night.  Forced heat also, which is horrid for the dry eyes, skin, mouth. And a coat INSIDE the house, along with a fleece hat...SO attractive!!!  Listen to Joe, like him, I wear a fleece "mumps" scarf at night. Drinking hot decaf tea DOES help to warm up! I drink 3, sometimes 4 a day and it does help.

When I cannot warm up, getting under the covers with a hot water bottle or two helps.
Lots of Hugs

Bratt,

So sorry about your temp issues.  I too, stay cold all of the time.  I want to share one of the best Xmas gifts I received from my hubby.

They are an "As seen on TV" product, which he found in Rite Aid.  They are called, "Hot Booties". You heat them in the microwave oven.
I am in love with them. It is like a huge warm hug (think electric blanket) on your feet. Out of all of the lovely gifts I received, these little
booties are by far the most appreciated. They are amazing & worth all of the jokes about my "hot booty".  Hope you can soon get some relief!

Take Care.

Hi Bratt  :)

Have you had your thyroid levels tested?  One of the symptoms of Hypothyroid is an inability to keep warm. Thyroid levels can change quite quickly too. Just a thought. (I'm no medic)

Take care - Scottie  :)
