Our doctor's surgery will text blood test results, and send reminders for appointments, as will the local dentist.

I work on a health-related helpline, and we offer advice and information by text. We started it to encourage young people to use the service, but found it also helped people with speech or hearing problems. And the good thing is, we can use a text messaging service from a computer, rather than a mobile phone.

Glad this isn't up and running here yet, I probably would have been arrested!   ;D

Oh no, no, no......I wouldn't have a doctor left that would keep me on if I had the ability lol.

Ha ha, Gifted!  I just had to say that.  But I'm resolved to only good doc relationships from this point on.  We all encounter a Bad Egg once in awhile!

I can't imagine Drs having enough time to text like that....they seem overly busy already, but it would be nice, of course would you have to text his nurse and PA 1st????   hmmm

I don't text and currently have no cell phone and I'm sure my dr's office wouldn't comply.  I know how to text, but never do and would call someone or email them instead and that doesn't include my drs.
