I know I should know this, but for some reason I cant think. Is seropositive just a positive ANA or is it ANA + ssb ssro ssla. I dont have the + ss antibodies as of my last test in September, but my ANA was high and my IGa was high. Does that mean sero+ or sero-...why cant I remember this stuff lol

Hi Tivia
I have the opposite question

What does zero negative mean? LOL!  I see so many people posting that????

Tivia

I really cant find if just positive ANA with a pattern means seropositive, or if thats seronegative. I dont think my doc did a lot of test I see ss antibody tests and IG tests and complement along with the ANA. I hope someone can answer what means sero+

I thought "seronegative" meant no la or ro antibodies.  And that ANA is broader...not exclusive to SjS.  Could be and likely am...wrong!   :D

SS-A isn't exclusive to Sjogren's either though. It's also commonly found in SLE patients, particularly those with photosensitivity and skin issues (like me).

I always thought sero-negative meant that all blood work is normal but I guess we all have different uses of sero-negative/positive!
SLE and SjS with PN. ANA >1:1280 speckled,
SS-A >8.0, RF positive. Botox for migraines, Clonazepam, Zoloft, Imitrex for migraines, CellCept 1000 mg, Plaquenil 200 mg, Restasis, Zofran for nausea, Gabapentin, Evoxac and Norco for pain.
