Hi everyone I just had surgery on Monday  :-[ to have a kidney stone blasted it was 2 centermiters and they had to blast me twice and I find myself in so much pain and they put a stint in so that the stones can filter but I havent seen any yet. And for the past few nights I have been very cold like I cant get warm I thought that I had a fever but it was only 97. I am not sure if the Sjogrens is acting up or something else I sure feel like I have been back over several times. I just wanted to see if someone else has had this also that could tell me what is happening about me being cold and not able to warm up. I think that my RA is acting up also the hand that they put the iv in has been hurting also I think that I just want to crawl in a hole and not come out  :-\
Thanks for listening

Bratt, about 20 years ago, my husband had a few bouts with kidney stones. Once they got caught in the tube and that was an awful mess.  They ended up pushing it back up into the kidney by probing it through his penis.

Then he had to wear an IV for a few days until we could get him to a bigger hospital for "lithotripsy."  It worked well and he hasn't had any since.  Knock wood.  He ate Tums like they were candy for GERD and that's the only thing they could think of causing the stones.  Lucy

Hi Bratt and speedy recovery from the kidney stones!

I have the same chills/can't get warm right now.  It seems with me it is a flare, even subtle ones, in which this happens.  I get waves of chills and try to get in the tub and soak, you might try this.  I also add Epsom Salts to the bath water, as it helps with the joint pains and muscle aches.

Other than that, I'm wearing so many layers of clothing that I feel like the Pillsbury Dough Boy.
