Merry Christmas to you all, from Sydney, Australia.

While you northern hemisphere folk are in winter, it's summer down here and we have a different way to celebrate. While many people do the traditional roast, these days most of us have seafood, salads and BBQ's. We're doing a bit of both, with 16 people for dinner. I'm looking forward to catching up with some relatives we haven't seen in a while. 

We had a typical Sydney summer's day yesterday (24/12) , the temperature got to 38c and we had a spectacular thunderstorm last night (lots of thunder & lightening) as a cool change came through.

Today (25/12) we are in for a much cooler day, with wind and rain, temp of about 23c. It will make cooking a roast much easier but no good for those who were planning to spend the day outdoors or at the beach.
