Hotel Hack Information:

You might want to check into this before you travel before the Holidays.  I wasn't aware of this until today:

Beware of the low-tech stuff, too. One hotel room in San Diego that I was in someone  had unlocked the balcony door. I locked it, and that night someone tried to break in but I had locked the door. The hotel people were really mad at me when I loudly announced what had happened in the lobby after they blew me off.

Most of the people in the lobby decided to go stay somewhere else.
