I have fallen three times this week.  Once flat on my face (at least the floor was carpeted).  However, I have hurt all week.  Does anyone else fall?

Sometimes I tend to twist my ankles in while walking or running and will either fall or almost fall.  I try to pay attention to see if it is when I wear a certain shoe or what not but I can never remember to note that at the time.

Oh god falling like that is not good, tell me you went to the doctor and made them aware. I am really clumsy now and have a few balance issues but I have not really fallen like that. If I did I would be at the doc's.

JPD,  Over the years,  I have read on the boards,  of people with SS and related complaints falling.
I would hesitate to say this is common, so as Tivia suggests a word to your Doc is warrented.
Hope your hurt clears up soon, Dolly x

Yes - I fell heavily in August, hit a paint tin, and fractured my humerus. Still in a 'humeral brace'. Healing slowly but still typing minimally. Since then I have also fallen on the way upstairs. Very glad the arm WAS still in a brace at that point!

When I fell, I was pushing on something and lost my balance.  I sometimes stumble over nothing.

Could this be neurological?  My balance is poor and as some of you posted, stumble over nothing.  Tripped on concrete basement steps and got some lovely bruising after falling down 3 steps.  Sometimes "weave" while walking.

I am glad our hallway is narrow. When I fall against the wall with a loud bang. If I am too dry, I walk like a drunken sailor. There are times that I am glad that I have a third leg (Cane) to help me stay upright. When I stand up I stop to orient so I do not fall. As I said the drier I am the worse I am.

The more I read the more confused I get....it sounds like falling could be a part of SS from what I'm reading, please someone tell me its NOT.  I have a disease that causes me to break quite easily and any extra possibility of falling is super scary to me.  If anyone has a good link on info one way or the other please post.  I hope you figure this out and feel better soon JPD54!

XOXOXO

I haven't fallen YET - but I loose my balance a lot.  I also run into things, drop things, or hurt myself in other ways.
