I thought it would be fun to see what books/authors people have been picking up to read or listen to lately?  I mostly get my books from the library but occasionally I will pick one from amazon or audible.

I have been reading and listening to 2 different mystery/crime series with female protagonists. The authors are Karin Slaughter and Carol O'Connell.

I also finally requested the 2nd book by Tana French called The Likeness.

In the car I'm listening to the second book in the Game of Thrones series, and on my Kindle I'm reading John Lennon: The Life (which is on sale for $2.99!).

This is only the second biography I've ever read (the first being Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand) and I'm really enjoying it! I've only ever read memoirs before because it seemed like biographies would be so dry, but this is really interesting. The bad as well as the good, and that not sugar-coated.

Normally I read whodunnits like the Harry Bosch series by Michael Connelley or the Matthew Scudder books by Lawrence Block. I'm also partial to time travel books and Kurt Vonnegut.

Fun question!

Just finished the "Demigod Diaries" by Rick Roidan. The author is a machine at turning out books for children and books for adults. He writes several of each per year. I got into reading children's books to keep up with my grandson and the kids I was teaching. Oh, and when I say read, it is books on CD.

Nicholas Sparks is my number one book author!
Problem is he doesn't write fast enough.
Might try your suggestions.

Harlin,

I have read all of Nicholas Sparks books. And I feel like you - he needs to publish faster. There is a "lull" between each. I guess that makes us appreciate them more!
