My Sunday evening

My daughter came over Sunday and brought her cute little dog, Kaiya.  Well, after we ate and all, I asked if I could take the dog (in the car) down to my favorite park and we could both go for a walk.  I was not sure how Miss K would behave as Ive not had her on my own.  She is only 15 lbs, so I should be able to handle her.  I kept her on the leash and we did a half mile.  Not sure who was more tired, Granny or the grandog.

we came back home to my house and I let her off the lease to run into the house and she didn't know who to run to.  Usually gramp and I are sitting in our chairs and she sees gramp first because I make her behave.  Well, she couldn't understand why her "Mom" was in my chair and was totally confused.  After a few minutes, she settled down on the floor by my feet, sprawled out cold.  It was hilarious.  I give her lots of treats, but I make her ears them.  She heard lots of "heeling" when we were walking.  It was probably having a better effect on me than her.  I'll have to do this again.  At least we can go at my speed, not some speedwalkers.  Lucy

This is why dogs are so great and I have two. Glad you had a nice time! Maybe time to find a little shelter dog to love 24 hours a day?

Sounds like a really pleasant evening. You needed that. I am happy for you.

No pets for us now.  We are fat and fancy free and a pet would keep us from going away on quick notice.  Maybe in 10 years when we're really old.  We get our dog fix from Kaiya.  She is so cute.  I can't believe I actually talk about this.  But I have to hear and look at grandkid pictures which after a few minutes are not really interesting.

Lucy, I am glad that you had that fun evening. It was good for both you and the dog to get the exercise. Sometimes we need some extra little thing to get us up and outside and after we get out we have fun and enjoy ourselves.

If it was me I would have to admit that the warm weather would slow me down a whole lot. My normal speed in cool weather is slow so you know how fast I would be moving. Hope you can do it more. Irish
