I was age 52 in 2007 when I was persistently pursuing why I had swelling and tenderness on right area below ear and jaw, for a few months. (parotid) I took several different rounds of antibiotics, when I had an acute reaction in all my joints, this was a sulfa type antibiotic and probably an allergic reaction. But because of that, they did test for RA , this came back positive.
When I was sent to a Rhuemy who tested ANA - SSB - SSA ,  I presented strongly positive. When they told me I had Sjogrens (never heard of it and I had been working in the dental field for over 20 years)

I consider myself fortunate and a low maintenance sjoggie. Most of my info is in my bottom information area.

I really appreciate these questions that give comparative studies in each our stories. Although I know we are all different in this journey, many things seem to run parallel.

I have just this year been diagnosed with Hashimotos , and this is a curious issue to me because I see a lot of us sjogs having thyroid involvements.

I don't believe doctors see these comparative studies as we do within our group community of Global SJW.
