I've been seeing a Derm. for a couple of years for bald patches..they start out red and I put a solution she gave me on them to make them stop being red.   They are everywhere from 1/3 inch to 1 inch.   The hair grows back a little or not at all.
Anyone have this too?

There is currently a significant buzz of posts on forums, youtube videos, etc, testimonies of people who say that Monistat, ketokonazole, and/or maybe coconut oil are helping them with hair regrowth over time. In some cases, hair loss is related to a fungal infection. But check with your doctor before trying anything.

Taking a scraping of the scalp in the area and putting it on a slide under the microscope will tell if it is fungal in a hurry. Has that been done?

My hair hes been thinning terribly as well as breaking off for about 8 yrs. It's s embarrassing. Steadily my "comb over" is taking more from o e...and that side is now thinning,  too. The thinning is on top and the crown...slowly now all of my head.  :'(

According to this, there are a number of treatments to try. What is the name of the solution you've been using? Are you taking any medication to suppress your immune system?
