How many of you use the nighttime ointments? and which one's do you use or find that works better?

I have been using Refresh PM since I was diagnosed and someone told me not to use the one's with alot of Mineral Oil since they will run faster.

I thought about trying Systene PM anyone use that and if so how does it work?

Any insights or suggestions???

I suggest GenTeal Gel for night use.  I have not tried Systane so cannot comment.  GenTeal gel is good and worth a try.  Lucy

I conur with eyeamdry. I use the GenTeal nighttime ointment. on bad days I use the Systane gel drops during the day, it really doesn't do much for me at night time, but it's better than using regular drops.

I've been using Systane Balance during the day and Systane Gel at night. I can't put it in until I'm ready to go to bed because it really blurs my vision. I don't seem to feel much better in the morning. Do most of you feel GenTeal is better? Also I just started with Restasis and me eyes are redder than before, is that common?

i also use Genteal PM and have not had any problems.  When I forget, which is not very often, I definitely know the difference!!--eyes are red and sore in the morning.

I quit using Restasis. It didn't do much for me as I still needed to use eye drops - so for the money, I'd rather buy and extra bottle of drops than go thru the restasis trouble and pain. So I'm over it.

My next trip to the eye doc will be to discuss plugs and blood serum therapy.

Yes, I believe GenTeal makes a MUCH bigger difference than the Systane gel. As a matter of fact, when I'm finished with all of the systane refresh bottles, I'm going back to the cloudy white genteal drops on my regular days. It's a white bottle with a purple and black label - forget the name, but it's GenTeal brand.

The systane gel drops do good for me on really bad days - it does take a bit to clear my sight, but the relief during the day is bliss when I get like that.

when I use anything other than the GenTeal nighttime ointment I wake up feeling like I slept with my eyes open all night.

I was using Soothe and now am using Systane. I really think the Soothe was better.

GenTeal gel has been a favorite of dry eye patients for over 10 years that I know of.  The newer stuff might be good, but GenTeal has withstood the test of time.  Lucy

I've tried 'em all and find GenTeal PM to be the best.  I think it has a bit more mineral oil in it.

I only use Gen Teal.  This was also strongly recommended by my eye doctor.

I love only Genteal mild/moderate eye drops all day, but I didnt like their gel formula for night. Guess everyone is different.
I like the refresh PM the best.
