So there has always been a question as to if I have had IC. Lately though I have been really uncomfortable. And it cannot be a uti as I have been on three antibiotics for a month. I am so embarassed to call my primary dr yet AGAIN. For yet another "issue".  I was curious if any of u have IC and what are your symptoms? I have read it can be connected to auto immune issues..

You need to call. Sometimes UTI's are hard to clear. I heard on the news the other day that there is a new type of e.coli that gets into the bladder and it can take up to 3 months to clear it.

I have IC and it involved intense pain 24/7. Like having the worst UTI ever.. and it never goes away. I am much better now, thankfully! It must have been directly related to my Lyme disease, because after long term Lyme treatment, the IC was 90% better. I only OCCASIONALLY have a flare... like once every 2 yrs or so!

I take D-Mannose twice a day to ward off infections. Works like a charm!

Jazzlover- Well I went in today.  They said the urine is totally clear but will send it off for a culture. In the mean time, back to more antibiotics and some pyridium.
They said if the culture is fine then looks like I'm facing IC and back to the urologist.  I can say when they pushed on my bladder I jumped.  It feels like someone has been taking a bat to it.  So we'll see. Thanks for your info! :)
