Has anyone had a disability exam?

Good morning to all . I went yesterday for an exam for disability. They took a couple of X rays, did a cursory exam. I am not feeling very positive about it. Most people I have spoke with say you get turned down after this and then you have to end up going before a disability judge. Just wondered if anyone else has gone through this and what to expect. I have no insurance, so there is not a lot of documentation because I can't afford all the tests.
