ok. so i am going to try ldn by my doc.. 3mg getting it tomorrow. then i read it can contribute to candida (buti also think every med has side effects)..

everything on the web makes you think u have candida. of course my bloodwork said no.. normal range..etc..

anyone out there with candida? would i know if i had it esp with all the regular sjogren symptoms?
thank you so much to anyone who can help and answer me..

i swear the internet /google and search boards are the devil! lol

I have no explanation for it, but Joe's tones for candida do definitely help control it.  If you have symptoms of candida, check out http://www.chakraforce.com/LEDlist.html#Candida.  Play each of the three tones for about 3 mins (press the arrow 6 times each) then go to the next tone, etc.  You can be surfing the web while listening, I think - although maybe not listening to other stuff.  Might be worth a try.

I don't know what kind of infection with candida you are referring to.

I have struggling with candida right now and have been for many months. I have had it cultured from the back of my throat. I do not get the yeasty stuff in my mouth or the thrush as shown in pictures online. I know it is yeast, or suspect so, because if get an increase in mucus that usually is more stringy and thick. I cough it up out of my chest, out of my sinuses, etc. The problem is you can't always see the consistency of the mucus with the naked eye. It is something that you feel with your tongue and mouth.

I am finally starting diflucan for 2 weeks and can't wait to see what happens. I haven't slept well for at least 3 months and just don't feel good. My fatigue level is way up and I can't get out of bed in the morning which is atypical for me. I don't sleep over 4-5 hours normally and seldom nap and I now fall asleep at the drop of a hat.

When it comes to other blood work, if you have negative blood work then it is negative. Also, be aware that when you have candida in your throat, etc., you can also have it in your esophagus, lungs and stomach and down throughout your gastrointestinal tract. I know I have had it in my stomach as had lots of nausea, etc and funny colon issues.  This should all improve with the diflucan. I had nystatin swish and swallow earlier and it helped some, but didn't kill it all off. Good luck to all of you with the candida. Irish

I have had Candida more than once in my mouth.  But I also KNOW that it lives in my esophagus, at least at times, throat and maybe further down as well.  The massive mucus  caused me to lose 30 + lbs in 2 months due to not being able to eat/swallow.  And as Irish said, I FEEL IT.

Again...what is ldn???????

FYI, SjS folks are particularly prone to Candida. Diflucan is what I have used and just as an aside, you would be shocked as to how many MD's have NO CLUE re Candida at least as far as SjS folks and how prone they are.

I am very sick with massive cold/sinus.  Got up at 2AM and had 2 hoursssleep.  Please forgive any unintentionlyl incorrect info!!  RTired beyond belief, sick and MOVING in a couple of days.  Not good.

ldn is low dose naltrexone... i just tried some last night rxd by my doc... 3mg .. slept horribly but my mouth and face felt less dry. eyes still very dry.. there are some other threads on here about it.. i actually dont know too much about it--just read it could help with autoimmune and asked my doc if i could try it out of desperation...

I have had candida/thrush/stomatitis of the mouth with high doses of prednisone. Also I read I more prone to getting it in the GI tract d/t my diagnosis and meds I am on.

Years ago I would get vaginal/candida infections after taking antibiotics. My rheumatologist gave me a RX for Diflucan with refills so I don't have to suffer with it when he or my GP are unavailable.

Good luck with your new med...keep us posted on your results with it.
