Triple digit heat and no electricity!!!

Good evening all. I live in WV where we had a very bad storm last Friday. Winds up to 79 miles per hour that knocked out electricity and was not restored until 3PM today. I don't know about you all, but the heat really makes me ill and since we lost power it has been above 100 with high humidity every day.

7 days with no power but I feel blessed because there are still thousands without power.

It has been a real experience. Had to help clean up downed trees and repair fence. My body was complaining but God is good and saw us through it all.

If there is anyone that has family or friends in this situation, I will keep you in my prayers and thoughts.

Bless your heart. I live in Tennessee, and have been hearing about it. You folks have been through a lot. I am so glad you have it now, and pray for all that are still waiting.

We just come through a storm a few minutes ago here, but nothing like what you had.

Glad you finally got the electricity!  It would be unbearable without AC or fans in this heat!  I remember losing it one year for just a couple days and I was sleeping on the basement floor!

I'm in Eastern Iowa where temps are 99-105 here. Thankfully we don't have electricity problems but the crops here are in a "moderate drought" now and we really need rain.

I hope everyone gets power soon and the temps drop!

         South Jersey was hit pretty bad, too. We were out of state, but got reports of the storm.  Came home on Sun.-we had power restored on Sun., but our sons didn't have any until Wed.  Generators helped 2 of them.  other lost a freezer full of venison and well as refrig. stuff. Trees are down everywhere and lots of power lines down --and would you believe--- thieves are stealing the downed wires for cooper and aluminum!!! 
There are still hundreds without power in my county.
 
And the last 2 days in the high 90's and over 100 today.

I'm just responding now because our cable line was fixed today!
 
TV Weather report says that we are in for some bad thunder storms tonight.
 
Our only damage was a 40' pine tree broke off about 10 feet up.  Nothing was damaged, thankfully.  It fell  behind the shed.
