Oh yes I remember the Monkees and was so sorry to hear of Davy Jones passing....he was in all of those teen magazines back then....16, TigerBeat...I used to cut his pictures out too along with David Cassidey and Bobby Sherman...all teen idols of that same era!

I had "Daydream Believer" and "Last train to Clarsksville" in my head when I heard the news.

So sorry for his family...he will be missed.

__________of the _____  ____ oh what can it mean to a daydream believer and a homecoming queen.

I have went thru my life wondering what the the missing words were in this song. I use to ask when this song was popular and I was really young but no one could tell me.

I hope someone knows the words so I will know what they are.

I have always sung it as        Cheater of the sleepy jeans on what can it mean  ......... and so on.  I know, makes absolutely no sense.  Help me  someone please.

I loved their show and yes, Davy Jones was my favorite.

David Cassidy on The Partridge Family, I thought he was so good looking.  My baby brother was about 4 when the show first aired.  So many people would stop us, to say that my brother looked just like Danny Partridge!  I know my brother had to be glad when the show went off the air.

I had forgotten about Bobby Sherman.  Yes, he was good looking also.  Was he on any tv show?  I don't remember much about him?

Also, I think this was later, I thought Bobby Goldsboro was so sexy.  OMG, when he sang "Watching Scotty Grow".  Awesome.  "Watching Scotty Grow" was written by Mac Davis, another good looking guy.

Oh no, we're not dating ourselves.  Your as young as you feel.

Hope everyone has a great week!

Yes...Bobby Goldsboro...I loved his song "Honey" even though it was sad.

Bobby Sherman...I really liked him. I never realized it back then but I must have been 12/13 years old and he was already 30 or so and he was in a teen magazine!

my kids and grandkids were over for the weekend and we discussed the Monkees, they have seen them years ago on their TV series...re-runs on cable TV.

ah...nostalgia

Joe S.

I remember watching the Beatles on Ed. I also remember Ricky Nelson. George and Gracie would have a little song and dance. So would Lawrence Welk who used to play in great grandpa's barn. Jack would try to play the violin. I would play canasta with my parents and grandparents until ten pm when we would drive the hour home listening to Elvis, Benny Goodman, and others.
