What do you crave?

I'm in a flare right now, and for some reason, when I'm flaring, I crave cheeseburgers. Thick, handmade, pan-fried , medium-rare. With a melted slice of American cheese. No bread, no catsup or pickle, just lots of salt.

My husband laughs and cooks these for me. I can't stand to touch raw meat.  :P  :o

Philadelphia soft pretzels with lots of salt.  Either warm and covered in butter so the butter gets all melty or deep fried and covered in sugar.  Remind me of this next time I complain I'm gaining weight  :P

too funny! I never thought of craving things during a flare. However since I am pregnant I do have cravings......for a bit it was dill pickles and then for a few weeks it was grapefruit juice......being gestational diabetic juice not good!!!!

A cheeseburger or a soft pretzel sound really good right now.....maybe I should call hubby on his way home :)

Hi

I never thought of flares and cravings going together but when my thyroid went wrong - I craved Brazil nuts. They are apparently rich in selenium which helps convert T4 to T3. I stopped craving the nuts when I started on a selenium supplement.

Round about the same time I also craved tonic water. That craving disappeared when I started on Plaquenil. (Hydroxychloroquine)

Hope you stop flaring soon. Meanwhile - enjoy the cheeseburgers!

Take care - Scottie  :)

I had my juicy cheeseburger last night and I'm feeling better already!   :D  I wonder if it's the amount of salt I put on it? Or the fact that I didn't cook it myself!   8)

Patze, have you tried a PayDay bar? It's sweet and salty at once. Delish!

Oh my, now I am craving cheeseburgers and Paydays! Yep, I'm going to get some! Also, there is a bakery nearby (too near) that makes the world's best cream puffs.  OK, I am supposed to be gluten-free, so no cream puffs...for now ;)
