Hi, hope everyone is having a good day.

I have been having this funny face/ headache lately, and needed some advice. My whole head kind of hurts from the neck, to behind my ears, and I have sore spots on my temples where it hurts to touch. Kind of like touching a bruise. My head feels full, especially behind my ears. My right side is the worst and I put a warm compress on it, which helped a lot. Sometimes my vision seems like its blurring in and out a bit too. This has been coming and going for the last few weeks, but today it was very uncomfortable. Just when I start to really worry, it gets better. I've had migraines, and sinus issues forever, but this seems different. My temple area really hurts tonight. Sorry if this isn't very clear but it's hard to describe.  My ears are popping and my chest has been tight at night as well. I do have allergies and asthma, but again, this feels different then what I'm used to.

Has anyone had anything similar happen? Does this have something to do with the swollen glands? I may have a low grade fever tonight, but that's my new normal lately. Should I be worried about this? I know you guys aren't doctors but any advice would be really appreciated. Thanks so much.

I have this everyday....some days, its unbearable...I think its inflammatory, whether its from allergies or the autoimmune issues..
My hormones too. Have you had an MRI or anything?  if it doesnt get better, have that checked out.

My allergies seem to be going nuts this year, and cant take anything due to Sjogrens dryness. I added in some more steriods, which
seem to help a bit.

I have this every day, also, worse some days than others. It's accompanied by nausea. Feels like the flu or a bad hangover.  :P

It's been very bad for the past two days and this is what I call a "flare" so this morning I started a "burst and taper" of generic Medrol (methylprednisolone). This is where I take six 4mg tabs the first day, five the 2nd day, four the 3rd day, etc. This will usually knock it out for a week or two after which it'll come creeping back until I do this again.

I'm sorry you're having this. I'm sorry BOTH of us are!   :D

Thanks, it's a little better today. It's so hard to know when to call, and when to wait things out. I'll just keep an eye on this and mention it to my rheumy next visit. I'm not scheduled for another 2 months so I just wanted to make sure it was something minor. I haven't done an MRI, I'm just at the start of all this and we're trying the plaquenil at the moment.

I'm sorry you're both going through this too! :)
