Jorja

I have a tendency to write mostly 'help me' post; so, I wanted to share a 'good' post.

Yesterday, we learned that our 3 yr. old GRANDdaughter (lives across country)  was in an auto accident with her other grandmother.  They thought she had collarbone and neck injuries.  Both were transported to the ER.  After a seemingly endless wait and much prayer, we got the call that she was okay.  She had abrasions and bruising to her neck but nothing serious.  The other grandmother was just sore and bruised also.

The car was so badly damaged that they had to use the jaws of life to remove them; so, it was truly a blessing that our sweet little baby was not seriously hurt.  Last night they Skyped me and she had to tell me all about it . . . riding in the 'am bu lence' and showing off her beautiful hospital bracelet they gave her.  So precious.

Just had to share a little good news!

Blessings,
Jorja

Jorja,

Thank goodness your granddaughter and her other grandma are ok. I'm sure the brusing will take time to heal but that is such good news that's all that happened to them!

That's frightening news to hear when something like this happens, and it might make it worse being so far away.  Just so glad both the ladies (including your little lady) are doing well.  Your granddaughter must have thought that was really an experience.  ;)

Blessings,
Melinda

You, indeed, have a lot to be thankful for. For life can take on a different direction so quickly.

I bet your heart just melted when your granddaughter was on Skype telling you all about her story.

Happy to know that everybody is alright.

Jorja I am so happy for your good news about your grand-baby. It must have been so tense until  you found out, but thank God she and her other grandma are ok.

What a terrible shock that must have been for you all, Jorja.  And what a relief when you could see her via Skype and hear her describe it all to you.

It sounds as though she's dealt with it very well which is a credit to all the family.

You are the best!  Folks I can share my burdens and my joys with and you are always so supportive.  I am so thankful that I found this site.  You have helped me more than you will ever know.

When I first found this site, I was on the verge of a deep depression.  It was so hard having no one who could relate to the pain and obstacles.  Please note that my husband was truly supportive but he does not have Sjogrens so he didn't really know the extent of the pain or the feelings of hopelessness.  I now feel doubly blessed because - not only do I have my on-line support team - I have a new friend I met in Dec. that is a fellow Sjoggie.  She knows exactly what I am talking about.   I am still sick, I still hurt; but, now I am no longer depressed or feeling like I'm alone in this battle.

Thanks again,
Jorja

P.S.  Our granddaughter is doing fine - no ill effects from the wreck, praise the Lord!  Oh, and she is still wearing her beautiful hospital "brace cet".
