I am trying to decide what to make of a new wrinkle

I did a walking eeg and had the twitching. It did not show up at all. I will not be seeing a doctor since I do not have a pcp. I have not had another episode, yet.

Joe, I am wondering if you are having some type of seizure. We don't have to have those full fledged seizures all the time. A person can have some very calm event that results in unconsciousness. We can awake and hardly know what has transpired.

Interestingly enough, sometimes seizures will occur only under a certain set of circumstances so they don't happen any old time. Also, a person can have a TIA or transient ischemic attack that results in unconsciousness. This is a decrease of circulation to the brain that can have various causes and result in unconsciousness.

I am hoping that the doc checks this out. Also, our blood pressure is constantly changing to keep u with the position of our body and the needs of our body. When we lay down out blood pressure can change just as when we stand up. Positional low blood pressure can occur at any time and for many, many different reasons. Good luck. Irish  ;D

Joe S.

Thanks all for your words of encouragement. I had an "event" while doing a walking eeg. Tons of wires attached to my head for a 48? hour period. When they read the results there was no indication of a TIA or seizure according to the doctor. Nothing of any interest appeared, I was told.

I do have a blood vessel that gets pinched an will cause left side paralysis. The Doctors say there is nothing wrong with it but the Chiropractor found it on an X-ray.

Blood pressure seems normal. The meditation and medication help this. Some of the doctors are fascinated when they learn that I can control my blood pressure and heart rate.

I agree with Irish, I thought of seizure when I first read this Joe.

Joe I am worried about you!! Please go back to the Dr and have this checked out! This is not normal. I know we get strange things happen to us but this is something not to let go!

Love and prayers, harlin

Sorry this is the actual topic, Joe. When I saw the heading, I was going to congratulate you on getting enough older to develop a new wrinkle on your face! I would get another opinion on the walking EEG reading in light of your symptoms now.

I get in to see my new GP on Friday. I will see if he has an interest.

I am very concerned about you. Could it be some sort of seizure or mini stroke as mentioned above.

Please tell your doctor.

Joe S.

Thank you for your concern everyone.

I have too many projects to have any real problems besides my current health challenges. I am starting to do research for a medical Tricorder. My book has been sent to the first editor (572 pages at this point). I am scheduled to do a number of seminars in March and April. I have two more books slated to write on Disease and symptoms, CAM therapies and treatments. I have a couple of new seminars to put into power point presentations.

I am too much of an old curmudgeon to die unless I decide it is time. My NDE told me about that.

Well at least we all know now what you are, Joe----a curmudgeon!!!

I can appreciate you not wanting to get bogged down with a health issue at this time. Sounds like life is pretty interesting for you right now. Just know that we are all concerned about this new wrinkle and hope that it either goes away or makes itself visible enough to get given a name. Good luck. Irish

Yes, Joe, behave yourself and don't over do.  Lucy

I have sleep paralysis from time to time but I never just pass out.  It comes on when I take a nap, and then wake up inbetween two stages of sleep.  I literally cannot move anything at all for about a half hour.  Pretty scary when you're all one with 3 little girls!  I'm always afraid my 3 year old will fall down the stairs while I'm "paralyzed" (she gets up from her nap and comes down to my room to let me know she's up).  It comes in groups; I'll have it happen for a few days to a week at a time, then nothing for months.

Joe, the thing that really concerns me is that you are passing out first.  I would make sure to bring it up to the doctor if I were you.  Just to be sure.

harlin

Joe, please take care of yourself. You scare me!

I almost passed out in the shower yesterday. When I got to the
Dr my BP was 82/50.
Next time check your Bp.

Love and prayers, harlin

Joe S.

BP is fine. I have been passing out for years without explanation. I have come to believe it is my reaction to high pain levels. Since the Doctors not concerned I have chosen not to be concerned. Do not be confused by all the "activity". It is somethings to fill my time and keep boredom away.
