Do you own/use a Wii?

Just wondering how many of you own and use a Wii?

I know for a while it was the craze . . . now, I just wonder if it's a passing fancy?

Several years ago I played on one while visiting my niece in Ohio - it was fun.

I'm trying to decide if it's something I would like to have for my own.

Does anybody own a knock-off of the Wii and does it work OK?

Thanks for any input.

Hi Bucky,

I've had my Wii for about four years now, and I still use it a couple times each week.  I like the Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus, and I play tennis, boxing, and baseball for exercise.

And the granddaughters love to play it with Grandma when they visit.    ;)

Hi Bucky,

I too own one of those puppies, and I wouldn't trade it for another system (its cheaper and there are lots of games/exercise cartridges available).

I do own the exercise modules along with the sports too (hey, the way I see it is if I make a fool out of myself playing it, no one will be watching!  It works and I have fun too.).

I tried one of the latin dances last week, and I swear the system stopped and asked what the heck was I trying to do? ;) :D  I have no coordination what so ever! ;D

I know just how you feel, Patze.  I am always categorized by the Wii as being uncoordinated.   :(

I really like ours. We've had it for a year & play about once a week.

I really want to try wii fit but don't want to spend the $ if not worth it. Carebear, you recommend the wiifit?

The wiiFit is good.  My favorites on it are Kung Foo & the meditation part in Yoga.

Hi Carie,

I like the Wii Fit because it can track your weight and BMI, and there are a lot of exercises for strengthening, cardio and balance.

I got a Wii for Christmas two years ago, along with two programs, Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus.  I used it exactly twice.

Probably if my husband wasn't laughing at me jumping around like a crazy woman, and probably if he jumped around with me, I would have used it more.

I gave it to my grown-up daughter who absolutely loves it. She's got lots of games for it, and uses it for her NetFlix.

And I'm jealous of her.   ::)   :P   ::)

My hubby picked up a used one on Ebay for Christmas. So far we like the bowling best.
We both feel so uncoordinated at tennis. Our sons coached me, but I seemed to  be losing all the time (no matter what son I was paired with in doubles)
Tried boxing with sons and  8 yr. old grandson--that was a real workout! ( I did feel rather foolish :o )

Oh yes.  I forgot about the boxing!  Lots of fun!   ;D
