Teeth hurt

Does any one have this problem.......

The upper teeth hurt, all of them on one side.  It hurts a bit more in the back but radiates across all of them.   Then sometimes it will not hurt for days.  I am wondering if it is not from the sinuses or if it is trimialgia (spelling probably wrong)

Nothing seems to help with the pain.

Any suggestions?

Constantly!  But I've not yet heard of this trimialgia/trimyalgia??  Have any websites or definition?

My best guess would be an infection. I had this for years until I zapped for a number of infections.

I do not think it is trigeminal neuralgia.

It was discovered several years ago when I had a root canal on upper tooth that there was no problem with tooth. Dentist then took a closer look at the upper teeth after another xray and it was discovered my sinuses are at the base of my upper teeth.

Often have upper teeth hurt so wear a scarf or now at night wear a ski mask to keep my teeth and sinuses warm.

Works... might think about not going out in cold without a woolly cap and sleeping with something around you head.

I was having the same problem.  It turned out I was grinding my teeth.  My dentist gave me a mouth guard to wear at night and that did the trick.

The top three back teeth have their roots a little bit in the sinus cavities. This is what can at times cause pain. Also, because of this you can have referred pain to the bottom back teeth. I have gone through this a lot over the years.

Also, my teeth all hurt bad the last couple years that I had them. It was a very strange pain that was so unexplainable that I told the dentists that my teeth felt like they were sick. It was not a normal tooth ache. I felt like they were dead or dying but the x-rays were always ok for years and the dentists did not get it.

I knew that they needed to come out. I gradually lost teeth over a period of about 20 years and by the time I got the rest of them pulled I had about 15 teeth left. After pulling the top ones my dentist checked them over and said that he had never seen anything like it. The x-rays looked ok and my roots were not the look of a normally dead tooth. However, they had a very strange almost lifeless look to them.

I have questioned dentists over the years questioning if it was possible to have a vasculitis that could affect my teeth. They always said no, but I still think it is a very possible thing. All I know is that when they get bad they are not worth saving. I spent a lot of money over the years and now that I know I have Sjogrens I can look back and think how foolish I was to not advocate harder to get them pulled earlier.

Life is so much better with them gone. Also, be aware that sjoggies have a lot of sinus issues because of the mucus membranes and abnormal mucus secretions so aching teeth sort of go with the territory.

One thing that my new dentist did was a pain assessment on my remaining teeth. He went around and tapped them with his instrument and had me give a number to my pain. ALL of my teeth hurt and the highest number was 8 and the lowest number was 4. He documented this also. It is a good thing for all of you to do as it helps put some perspective on the situation and good reference for the years down the road. Good luck all. Irish

OMG!  I have been suffering with pain across my teeth. My parotids are the size of my fists.  I spent Christmas day in bed with a heating pad across my face and sipping hot tea trying to get relief.  No one can help me.  I feel so utterly useless.  No one knows what is wrong with me.  The doctors (Family doctor, Endocrinologist, Rheumatologist, neurologist, ENT) cannot give me an answer!  They tell me everything is negative....so deal with it!  Funny....a negative test result doesn't make my symptoms go away.  Thank you for bringing this up.  I often feel so alone in my different pains, that I HATE to mention them to my family.  I hope you are feeling better and get relief. Tempez - I feel so bad for you, that pain is terrible.

Today my pain is gone, go figure!  Each day it is something else, never without any pain from somewhere.

I also do not tell my family ALL my pain, they would probably be sick from worry.  People who do not have chronic illnesses do not understand.

When I saw "Teeth Hurt" the first thing I thought is sinus infection.

When I have or am starting to get a sinus infection, it usually starts on my teeth gums first. They get sore and achey. I can still eat but it almost feels like I just have a cavity filled over there when it bugs me.

Do you flush your sinuese with seal salt and distilled water using the NettiPot?  That has helped me a heck of a lot to cut down on the number of and intensity of my sinus infections.   Good Luck!
