Eyelashes Falling Out?

Has anyone else had their eyelashes fall out? Does it fall under the category of "hairloss"?

I go through periods when things are fine and some days when my eye lids itch and eyelashes land on my desk a few at a time.

It doesn't bug me too much right now, but I was just curious.

Actually, no this has not happened to me. I have had my hair thin out and break off, but with vitamins, protein and TLC it seems to be filling back in. This has been a big deal for me, although maybe it's just vanity. But I have always taken pride in my pretty strawberry blonde hair and always style it before work.

If I lost my eyelashes I guess I'd be buying false ones to glue on! Good luck, hope it subsides. One thought - have you been to the eye doc lately? If you are itchy and the lashes are coming out, perhaps you have a mild eye infection?

Mine are thinning it seems. And they itch too! Not badly, but I always seem to be scratching them.

Hi LouLou,

Do you have Blepharitis by chance?  I know that I have a chronic case of the mess and its not unusual for my eye lashes to fall out when it flares (also have MGD that makes it harder to maintain any kind of a normal balance in my eyes).
