Relentless headache....

Irish..I am 99.99% Gut instinct convinced that something else is the problem.

I have been on antidepressants for years. I did not go to the Dr. at that time for depression, I went shortly after the birth of my son because my arms were weak and my hair was failing out, including a center strip of pubic hair...which in 22 years has not grown back.
Back then of course I was so ecstatic to have my son, that I just took the drs. advice. And of course who had a computer at home then??

Anyway, the visit to the neurologist was inconclusive, as the tests performed to date are normal. So he wants me to keep a diary and I will see him in 4 weeks and he wants me to call if anything happens.

He brought up the diagnosis of depression and I was really upset. So I related to him what my therapist and I discussed (she takes copious notes and is the best documented source. She has been seeing me for years and is witness to my decline) She is NOT convinced my symptoms are from depression...and it was she and the Dr. she works with that finally sent me back to the MD.

To restate: I am living in a new area with better medical care. And am getting a new PCP and want to go to an Endo.( I now have anti-bodies/ thyroid) And recently todate have 3 females in family with thyroid issues. I just do not want to overwhelm a new Dr. and of course my experiences have jaded my view of MDs .

My positive thoughts have been: I am not this disease: it is only one facet of who I am.
I pray to have an open heart and an open mind.

In regards to the "buffalo hump" I thought I read somewhere that a buffalo hump has to do with adrenal gland function...don't know if that's true or not..................headaches can be a sign of dehydration also.

I'm sorry I do not have any answers but I have had the same headache as you have just described for 5 days. 

I hope you get some relief. No pill has helped mine.

I have no headache history.

This is a stab-in-the-dark diagnosis, but I'm wondering if you have now got your blood pressure up, and the headache is from high or higher blood pressure, after you went on the high salt diet. If you can check it yourself, that would be good.

I used to have high blood pressure, and did have headaches that seemed related.

Thanks, That's a good thought. I do check my blood pressure & it's still low but almost normal.

My headache is mostly gone so I think I was fighting off a virus but I have also been getting them when my eyes get really dry.
