Finally got in for my sialogram yesterday.  Went by myself which was a BIG mistake.

The actual procedure for getting the contrast into the cheek was NOT that bad.  No pain, no pinching, just pressure of trying to get the cannula into the opening.  Did a lot of visualizing of eating pickles!

HOWEVER!!  Injecting the contrast was something I never want to experience again.  Makes you feel a lot of pressure (uncomfortably) in your cheek but then my BP tanked, nearly passed out, extreme nausea and then dry heaves (only because I hadn't had lunch yet).

Took the xray but there was no contrast left in my cheek.  So I get to do this all over again.   :-\

Definitely taking hubby with me next time.

ICK! Sounds awful. Eat before you go next time and let us know if it helps. Good luck!
I miss the good old days. Things were more like they used to be back then.

How very disappointing -- all that time and energy and discomfort for naught. I'm so sorry this happened to you. You're a brave person to say you'll go through it again after all that.

It's good, though, that now you know what to expect. A good meal & your sweet hubby will make the next experience a better one.
