Sjogren's in children

I am not sure if any of you are still out there or not. I am going through the same thing with my 11 year daughter (she is also a twin). She started getting stomach pain August 2010. She also starting getting really sleepy. She underwent sugery to removed what the doctors and surgerons thought was an appendicitis. Turns out later that the appendix was being "attacked" from the outside in. She has swollon lymph nodes in her stomach since she has been 7 no real changes there. She feels her pain exactly where the lymph nodes are. She has had four ANA test since winter 2010. Three came back postive for Sjogren's. One was negative in 02/2011 (she was having a great month almost pain free). This year seems to be getting worse. She also has inflammation that showed up in her labs. Basically our doctors are at a lost and so is our family. There is very little about children on the internet. John Hopkins is now involved on her case to advise her doctors. Any help with information would be great. I just would love to connect with other mothers with children. Thanks and sorry this is so long.

rachellstone, I welcome you to the forum. I am sorry for the reason that you are here. Have her doctors done a bacterial culture for the Clostridum family? Did she have Pneumonia, or Strep? Are her sub-lingual glans swollen?

Some of us have posted what we are taking in our signatures. I have not been able to take the meds most are taking for this diseases. I use meditation, Reiki, Reflexology and other supplements.
