another trip to doctors later, so anxious

I am going to se my g.p later today and my stomach is in knots with anxiety about going, i absoluetly hate going just because i have had to go so much in last couple of years.

I am going to see about trying an antidepressant for my pmt as i have about 2 weeks of anxiety and depression, the week before and the week during my periods and i am thinking why am i putting up with this as it effects my mood so much.
Also going to check a lump in my right breast that i think only comes during pmt but is worrying me and is painful so going getting it off my mind.
will be glad to be home tonight after getting the app over with and can relax a bit.

Hi Lea,
I get so anxious too when I have to go to the doctor. Sometimes my blood pressure goes up and I get all sweaty and flushed looking.

Thanks Jellyb, i survived the app but it was a hour late so i had plenty time in the waiting room to get worked up. I now have a stress headache but at least it done with.

Waiting so long is h*ll isn't it? I purposefully try not to get there too early, so when I have to wait a long time, I end up like a wobbly jelly!

How did it go otherwise?

Hi, it went ok, he gave me an antidepressant called citalopram to take for 2 weeks every month to fit in when i am hormonal, and as far as the lump is concerned he thinks it is hormonal too but have go back at a different time in my cycle just to make sure it not there, if it is he will send me for a mammogram. 3 close family members have had breast cancer so i needed it checking out.
