The Royal Wedding?

We watched it, loved it and went to a street party to celebrate.  Even if I had disliked the 'pomp', the words and music were lovely.  And an extra day off too - perfect!

I watched it. Was awake anyway (woke up at 4 am and couldn't get back to sleep).  I love watching the people and hearing the music and message/words (always so hopeful at weddings and baptisms!).  She was absolutely lovely and both seemed so at ease.  He had so many mannerisms that reminded me of Diana, biting his lower lip, shy look at the camera.  I agree some of the guests must have forgotten to look in the mirror before they left for the wedding!  I hope they have a long and happy marriage!

Just out of curiosity, I watched the recap of the ending. Nice, but I do miss Diana. Their kiss was lame...people waited for the carriage ride, and balcony kiss...blah. My grandma kissed sexier than that!

I watched it (after the fact -Tivo) and enjoyed it but I'm a sucker for weddings. (My hubby even watched it with me also  )  

My grandmother is a native English woman from a town just outside of Oxford and came here with my grandfather when he was in the military so I have a British background.  My grandmother lives for this stuff and I remember watching Diana's wedding even at an early age of 6. We even have a commerative (sp) tea set from that wedding.
 
Kate was absolutely gorgeous and they look so handsome together.  I wish them a long happy marriage.  I see this a very down to earth next generation in the royal family, which I see is all thanks to Diana for raising her boys right.
