Waaaah.   :'(
I am in eastern Iowa.  We are getting snow today. I was supposed to end at noon. Well it is still snowing and we have watches out all over the state now until 6pm. There is about 8 inches on the ground already and I have yet to see a snowplow on my residential street. It is the thick "snowman making" kind of snow too.

Thankfully though I worked late Thursday, I went to the grocerey store and got what I needed. I don't have to go out and can stay inside. I am just worried about all the people out traveling to get to their families on Christmas. I'm afraid they are going to end up in ditches or stuck.

So anyone that is traveling in the winter, Please be prepared!  Take along that extra blanket, cell phone, snow shovel, ice melt, hazard flares and whatever else you need. You just never know.   I hope everyone stays safe this holiday season!

I agree. Here in the twin cities we have had more snow this month than all year last year! We do not need any more snow at this time.

I LOVE snow! This very day last year we had a blizzard in Oklahoma. No one knew what to do! Goofy people out driving in it, etc...LOVED it, but didn't have to drive in it...well, I did when it started and THAT was a mess, but not in the 1.5 feet we got or so. Pass some snow down here!! :D

I do enjoy the snow IF I don't have to go anywhere. I think it is beautiful.
I'm used to driving in snow too as I've done it since I got a license. My dad was disabled and couldn't handle the too cold and too hot weather.  He said he always worried about the nuts on the road - not me.

Unfortunately I have the type of job (lately 10 hr+ day)  that doesn't care whether you are sick, snowed in or what, I have to get myself to work. We are only allowed 5 unscheduled sick times per calendar year which really isn't that much. (1 hr late = an asbsence too.)   >:(  It is bad enough for me being single but it has to be terrible for the employees whose kids gets sick, etc.  They could shut down ALL the schools and heck probably the whole city and I'd still be expected to make it to work!  When we had the floods in 2008 here, the company set up a satellite station on the other side of the river so we'd still get to work.

Well, I guess with everyone if their circumstances were better, they'd like the snow.  8)

BTW: Cat - I have a kitty that loves the snow. He is strickly indoors but when it snows I bring in a pan of snow for hime to play with. I get a wet kitchen floor but he has a ball with it. LOL   :D

Pisces, what a funny story about your cat! I love it. :D Our border collie LOVES snow! She runs outside, rolling in it, jumping...it's so cute. Our cat does NOT like it..he "tip toes" through it..LOL ;)
