Kelly~ that sounds so familiar...burnt wires or rubber smell to be exact! Get a whiff and then it's GONE!:P

I could swear there was cigar smoke in my house tonight...as well as the usual plastic burning.

Funny thing though...smelling all those odd odors has never prevented me from eating. ::) ::)

Most everything taste so boring to me. And I wonder sometimes when I cook...is this bland. But, my husband loves what I prepare..so I guess it is still good. For myself I do not want to eat anything that is hot. And my drinks have to be really cold, to quench my thirst even a little. My latest treat are the Klondike low sugar fudge bars...the creaminess is so soothing....yummmm.

HAH!  I had NO idea about smells being a  symptom. I always wonder, "Is my car burning oil??" or "WHO is smoking in the house??"...Like you said , Sha..it lasts only for  a few seconds and then it's gone as quickly as it came.
