Moving to Stuart Florida

Hi

It is getting closer to our moving to Stuart Florida day...and I wonder if anyone from around that area has a recommendation for a rheumy or even a primary care physician.  We will be total newbies.  Willing to travel say 45 min away for a good doc.  A bit concerned about all that "sun" down there too. 

Perhaps you can let me know off line if anyone is from around that part of the USA and likes their docs.

I'm not  from Florida so no recommendations for you...but I wish you lots of luck for your big move!

Starting over is a lot of hard work but it also lots of fun and a brand new start!

November 15 is the day we start over... I have depended on my docs up here in NY and can't imagine starting over...but will have to.

NY is becoming so expensive if you can you just move out of state.
There will be no one left but those who have so much money it is irrelevant and those who can not afford to move.

Hi--I live in Miami-about 1and 1/2 hours away-but I have the best doctor-sensitive,brilliant,has a Mom with SS and spends loads of time with you  don't know how to send you anything off-line how do we get e-mail addresses or phone numbers?  Try to connect---Lesley

Hey Navigator,

I live above Orlando and want to welcome you to Florida.  You will need a great pair of sunglasses for your move down here.  I use them for both sun and the breeze which can be a constant over by the beach.  I wear glasses, so I buy the cheap over the top wrap arounds from the drugs store as I am always losing them.   

There is a large support group in Lakeland that meets a couple time of year and if you want I can send you the group leaders email.  She might have more knowledge of people/doctors in your new area.  Also if you are ever up in Orlando we have a lunch support group that meets monthly.
