Back from gallblader surgery - oh boy I ache

Hi guys...
had my gallblader removed yesterday.
I woke up from surgery, my mouth was a desert. Sore trhoat, drye eye...

the aftermath feels  pretty painful. to me.

It aches everywhere... they prescribed Percacet...
but I only take one...it helps a little.

They said it was okay to walk around,....

Sitting hurts less than laying down in bed...

So I decided to check emails....

  Thinking of you!  I've had that surgery before.   The gas and soreness won't last long.  Best wishes!

Did you have it laproscopically?  Or did they CUUUUUUUUT away?

Sorry Skygirl that you're suffering so.  I also had my gallbladder removed laproscopically.  The surgery went well as could be expected.  I was quite sore for the first 3 days then things improved rapidly after that.  I was back to work the next week which is what I was told was normal recovery for this procedure.  Hang in there, I'm hoping you'll feel better soon.

Monica - hope you have a speedy recovery from your surgery.

If you have a recliner to lounge in, it might feel better than actually laying down in a bed - at least for a couple of days.

Don't forget to have a pillow handy in case you sneeze . . . trust me.

Bucky, that's right I had forgotten that part, coughing, sneezing or hard laughing is not the most comfortable thing to do right now.  Hanging on to a pillow allows you to transfer some of the body motion and reduce the pressure on the "core" if a cough, sneeze or a belly laugh comes on.   When I got out of the hospital from my gallbladder surgery, my sis decided it was time to share some of her funniest jokes with me, ergo the reference to belly laughing.
