I am so sorry Navydad!  I can't imagine how hard it is to cope with all you're struggling with right now.  I too have Neuropathy and some days I wake up with no use of my right arm what so ever.  It's like it's not even there.  It's so weird.  My longest bout lasted 3 months and then just one day it was fine!  It's not easy having a body that's deteriorating at warp speed and everyone doesn't get what you're going through.  Try to hang in there the best you can, I know it's difficult.  :'(

Howdy Navydad, I have been wanting to say I like your handle (Navydad).  I served in the Navy for 4 years, On the Uss Constellation CV 64.  Now we are both in moth balls.

Anyway, I think your Case Manager wants to help.  But she is clue less.  She really needs to have more training.  Is there a possibility you can request a different Case Manager?

You mentioned in one of your posts about sand box Therapy.  If you decide to try it, don't forget your shovel and bucket. :)  Building sand Castles sounds like fun.

Isn't it funny that the ones who are paid to help seem to be the biggest pains in the you know what?

You need a hobby? What the ... ##!! Of all the idiotic things to say. If you take up needle point everthing will be fine I guess. THE NERVE OF SOME PEOPLE!

I thihnk she meant well but probably doesnt deal with many people like me who have everything going on,, she had my case on the computer because she was asking why my ent prescribed a asthma med for my sinuses,, I told her it was to rinse my nose out,,, but every question she asked I had to remind her of my limited ability to do things,,, asked if I needed a wheelchair,, or if I allready had one,, she asked when do you see the neuro again, I told her January to find out how this might progress,, like my neuro has a crystal ball that when I go in cold cold cold january,, he;ll be able to tell me whats going to happen,,,
I am going to get on my insurances web site and see if they have a periphal neuropathy center,,, UPMC is the biggest provider of health insurance in Pittsburgh,, they gobbled up every other one except blue cross blue shieild,, but just about every hospital is run by them,,,
I wasa bit ticked when I asked her for help, but she said she cant do that,, and as for crochehing,, LOL,, I told her I had to quit fishing becasue I cant tie a knot,, and hunting is over,,, come to think about it,, I;m really pi&&ed

Navydad, I sounds like the QRC (quality rehab coordinator) that the insurance company provided me with after my 83 auto accident. I had to go to my doctors just to get letters from them proving that she was lying.
